Well, unfortunately the Urbana flea market didn't go quite as planned. There were tons of people there & everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, but things ended early for My Mom & I. The rain just wouldn't stop, so we had to pack up and leave about two hours in before all our products were completely soaked. The day wasn't a total loss, I had hoped to get some business cards & flyers out there and was able to do that, even if they were a little soggy. Now my car is like a rolling billboard, filled will piles of drying throws and afghans. That's one way to advertise.
It was Mom's 85th birthday on Friday. Hard to believe. And she keeps working on those beautiful Afghans. I hope I'm as active when I turn 85.
Our party for her was a great success. We had dinner at a lovely little Italian restaurant. The food was great, the service was great and we even had a roving guitarist who enthralled my oldest grandson. All of the grandchildren and great grandchildren were able to attend and Mom was thrilled. She was meeting the youngest grandson for the first time, and as you can see from the photo that it was a wonderful moment for her.
I really have to give a great big thank you to Denise. She is a clerk at the fabric chain that is closing, where I have spent a great deal of time lately. She has been standing on her feet all day, every day cutting bolt after bolt of fabric for people in lines stretching the length of the store. She never lost her great attitude. She was always smiling and, always willing to help, even knowing she would be losing her job soon. I was happy to find out that Denise would be moving back to her home town to spend more time with her family. We'll miss you Denise. We need more folks like you.
We are finally open for business! All of our stock is listed in the store, and you should be able to purchase on-line. I hope you like our products and will send your friends to our store to browse. Please let me know if you have any problems with your purchases.
Well, I think the store is just about there. You should be able to see all of the merchandise in nice large photos and should be able to order and pay on-line in the next day or two. This website building experience has been a great deal of fun. I hope you will enjoy the final results.
Things are slowly falling into place, and I'm almost finished building the store. I've run into a bit of a snag figuring out how to properly size the photos, but please do visit the store. You may need a magnifying glass to see the photos right now, but I hope to get that problem fixed soon. Everything listed is available for purchase, and if you live locally, we can make arrangements to meet, so you can save shipping charges for your purchase. Thanks for your interest in our products. Please be sure to tell all of your friends.
We are finally up and running. I'm sure there will be a few cliches since this is my first website build. I'll try to get them fixed quickly. I hope you enjoy your visit.
Our Store: Sorry, but the store is still not open. If you see something you like or need some help with a gift, please contact me and I'll try to help. Hopefully the store will be open by the end of the week.
